IPV specializes exclusively in intellectual property matters.  Our services include counseling, acquiring and protecting innovations. IPV works with clients from individual entrepreneurs to start-up and established companies. IPV is located in San Jose, California.  We represent clients in California, across the United States, as well as international clients.
IPV is managed by David Tran.  David has over 15 years of IP experience, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).  David is a member of the State Bar of California.  David was a Senior Patent Attorney at Intel and at several major IP law firms in the Silicon Valley.  David has worked with many independent inventors as well as inventors working at large corporations including, Sony, Cisco, Apple, Intel, eBay, PayPal, Sonics, Adobe, Xerox, IBM, and many startup companies.  David has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a wide range of technologies.  He has successfully presented arguments to the USPTO that result in many granted patents.
Prior to becoming a Patent Attorney, David worked at IBM for many years in various technical capacities.  David earned a JD from Lincoln, BS in Computer Science from University of Washington and an MS in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Since IPV does not have the same overhead as the traditional brick-and-mortar law firms, IPV is able to provide clients similar services at reasonable fees. IPV is located near the new Silicon Valley Office of the USPTO.  If you have any questions, please contact us.  We look forward to hearing from you.
